Order your Habitat for Humanity Specialty License Plate Today!
How much does it cost? Your initial pre-registration fee of $35 will cover your specialty license plate fee for the first year; then $35 annually to renew. This is in addition to your regular plate fees.
Where do the funds go? The most important part of this project is that the money raised will create a sustainable funding mechanism to support Habitat for Humanity of Tennessee. This organization has been in existence for 8 years and represents the 51 Habitat for Humanity affiliates on the state level. Fees also will pay for the cost of production of the plates.
Is there a deadline? Yes, we must obtain 1000 pre-registrations before June 2012.
What do I need to do? Submit your pre-registration form and $35 for the Habitat Specialty license plate to HFHT. Once we sell 1000, the state will begin printing the new license plates. You will receive a letter from the state that your tag is ready to be picked up at your clerk’s office.
What if I just renewed my tags? When you go pick up your new Habitat Specialty Plate, you will pay for the used portion of your current tag and then your new tag will expire 1 year from that date.
