Through shelter we empower

Envisioning a world where everyone has a decent place to live.

Habitat for Humanity of Tennessee is a statewide coalition of 37 independent Habitat affiliates, each serving their local communities across the state. Habitat Tennessee plays a vital role in supporting these affiliates by coordinating advocacy efforts, offering training and technical assistance, and providing disaster recovery support. Additionally, we serve as a central hub for distributing statewide resources, ensuring our affiliates have the tools and guidance they need to effectively serve families and transform communities.

  • Education and Technical Assistance:

We offer education and technical assistance to local affiliates, focusing on nonprofit best practices, mortgage services, fundraising strategies, construction, and regulatory compliance. Our goal is to equip affiliates with the knowledge and resources they need to operate efficiently and effectively while maximizing their impact in their communities.

  • Resource Development:

We actively develop meaningful partnerships that effectively bring together essential funding, dedicated people, necessary supplies, and innovative technology to support our local affiliates. This collaborative effort significantly broadens our impact on addressing the pressing housing needs of our neighbors in the communities we serve.

  • Disaster Services:

We actively prepare affiliates and communities to effectively respond to disasters, ensuring they have the tools and resources necessary. Additionally, we coordinate efforts for long-term recovery after a disaster event strikes, helping to rebuild and restore affected areas.

  • Advocacy:

We work diligently to raise awareness on critical housing issues by serving as an important liaison, a knowledgeable thought-leader, and trusted policy advisors to lawmakers, elected officials, and various state agencies. Through our efforts, we aim to facilitate constructive dialogue and foster understanding regarding the need for affordable housing solutions.

Habitat for Humanity International and its affiliated organizations will not proselytize. Nor will HFH work with entities or individuals who insist on proselytizing as part of their work with HFH. This means that HFH will not offer assistance on the expressed or implied condition that people must adhere to or convert to a particular faith or listen and respond to messaging designed to induce conversion to a particular faith.

Our sponsors make our work possible- thank you!

Habitat for Humanity of Tennessee is an Affiliate support office. We do not directly administer Housing Assistance or operate a ReStore. If you are looking for Home Ownership or Home Repair Programs go to Find My Habitat. Habitat Tennessee advocates for affordable housing with specific focus on homeownership opportunities for families with limited incomes. We support, educate, and advocate on behalf of Habitat for Humanity affiliates in Tennessee.
